Personality

Psychological Background:
Sierra is relatively stable considering the nature of her powers. She is not extremely open, nor visual with her emotions. Personality Quirks: C
oming from a wealthy home, she and her brother were given presents in place of quality time with their parents, as a result Sierra is suspicious of presents and prefers to be given thoughtful things rather then expensive things.

Sierra does her best work artistically when she is dealing with strong emotions. Painting and sculpting have become her outlets.

She feels responsible for the people she has visions of and will often go to extremes to insure their safety.

History

General History:
Sierra was born to a psychologist mother and an engineer father. Both were committed to their work and spent little time with Sierra and her brother. As a result both children left for out of state colleges directly out of high school. Sierra bounced around from major to major, receiving minor art, literature, psychology, computer, history and ethnic humanities degrees. At the age of 27, still undecided as to a specific degree to major in, Sierra combined her previous courses for a Master's degree in Education. She's worked for the last two years as a state social worker in Philadelphia and had a side business as an art teacher, generally catering to the same kids she worked with in her job with the state. After a vision of herself working at a school of mutants, Sierra sent a resume to the Northern Lights Academy and without waiting for a response, packed up all her belongings into her jeep and headed west.

At the age of 14, her mutation manifested when she had visions of car wrecks and suicides on nearly a daily basis. When she tried to speak about these things with her parents, her mother asked if she wanted to schedule a time for a session. Sierra distanced herself from both parents after that and no longer told them about her visions. Her parents are not aware their child is a mutant. On her 16 birthday she attended a homecoming party where others were drinking.
