Mutant Power: Heightened Senses, Dexterity & Radar Sense

Extents (ability): Sarah has heightened senses, touch, hearing, and smell. Believed to be stronger then the normal blind person. Has heightened dexterity, which gives her cat like grace when doing martial arts, acrobatics and gymnastics. Sarah also has a bat like sense of Radar, that allows her to sense her surrounding environment, in full 360 degrees.

What do you think of your mutant ability: She doesn't really consider it a mutant ability, but more of something being developed because of her being blind.


Personality

Psychological Background: Sarah has always been alone, in one-way or another. She knew at young age she wasn't what her mother intended to have and probably wouldn't have had if she'd had money to get an abortion. So most of her life she has struggled for acceptance from a parental figure throughout her life. She isn't one to talk much about her blindness, having always been blind, she doesn't see herself as a disabled person but person who does things in her own unique way.

Sarah, or Blue, as she's known to her friends, is very intuitive. Uses it well to keep people at a somewhat distant from herself. Her grandmother gave her roots and sense of self worth, but because of her strict grandmother she was never allowed to date or go out so she finds it difficult to be around large groups.


Personality Quirks: Sarah, because of everything, is prone to be very withdrawn at times.  For her it's perfectly normal. She can't stand to be around braggers, people who brag what they got or how they got it. What she's got is what she will give type person. She always wears black mostly.  She won't go anywhere without her grandmother's necklace; that she wears around her wrist.


History

General History: For Sarah growing up in Reno Nevada, there wasn't much love in her young childhood. The product of a High Rolling Gambler and Susanna Elise, a cocktail waitress who turned up pregnant at the age of nineteen. She realized early on in life she had to take care of herself because she knew her mother never really wanted her, probably would have had abortion had she the money to have it done. When Sarah was born, Susanna had a change of heart. Not because she was handed a beautiful baby girl, but because she realized the power she had in her hands now. Being told her daughter was blind she saw it as her way of getting attention and things from people who would feel sorry for nineteen year old mother of a blind baby.

Sarah and her mother lived with Susanna's mother, Diane, who pretty much took sole care of her granddaughter. Diane was more strict with Sarah then she was with Susanna, her thinking she'd correct with Sarah all the mistakes she'd made with her own daughter. Soon as Sarah was walking, she was enrolled into various things from martial arts, because Diane had heard it helps young kids find balance in their lives, and gymnastics and acrobatics. Diane pushed her granddaughter to be the best she could be at everything. From schooling to academics, never allowing the girl to date, go to parties or socialize lengthy with people her own age.

Sadly Susanna was locked up in jail for third offence DUI, possession of a controlled substances, endangering the life of a minor and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. With her daughter now in jail, Diane assumed sole care for Sarah when she turned fifteen. Diane loved Sarah very much, but the way she went about showing it was anything but effective. It wasn't until Sarah turned seventeen did Diane realize how wrong she was in regards to her granddaughter, knowing that she needed to experience life Diane searched for someplace that would help Sarah relate to those at her age level.

Contacting Charles Xavier, Sarah was soon accepted into the Northern Lights Academy. A private school in Anchorage, Alaska, that would help Sarah in more ways then one.
