History

General History:Born in Cairo Egypt to Nefertiri Typhon and an unknown man. San was raised by her mother who was an Egyptologist and also a mutant. Her father came for brief visits but he had a wife and other children to worry about. San was very close to her mother and older sister.

Her mother was given a job in Italy near the French border so she moved to Italy to begin work in a museum. San’s mother taught her how to read and write in Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs. San and her sister Fay used them to communicate, it was their own secret language. While in there time in Italy San began to become jealous of her sister’s musical talents. Her mother spent a lot of time going to the late night opera shows leaving San home alone.

San has never completely gotten over her jealousy towards her older sister.  She also didn’t like the fact that her older sister got to have really cool powers like her mother. San was a little glad when her sister converted to Catholicism, it caused a slight rift between her mother and Fay. San never cared too much about religion so she says she belongs to her own personal religion.

They moved back to Egypt when San turned 12. San was always a little annoyed about being home schooled. It apparently didn’t qualify as real schooling since her mother wasn’t a teacher. Most of her friends were in school all day while she was lounging around in a pyramid or tomb with her mother and sister. Her powers first occurred when she was playing outside with some of the camels used for tours. She slowly began to feel her body turn and crack as she shrunk to the ground. Frightened the tiny cat ran back to her apartment. Her mother recognized her immediately, picked her up and waited for her to shift back. Her mother began to work with San on her powers.

San had a close relationship with her mother, and hated it when people would gawk at her mother’s different appearance.

Things turned when she was walking with her mother down the street. Her mother was a visible mutant and was murdered by a lynch mob.  San only escaped after shifting into a cat and running off. She felt guilty that she didn’t do anything to help her mother, but her mother had told her to run, so she ran. After her mother’s death she did begin to use her powers to lash out a bit on unsuspecting school children. Nothing to hurt them just to scare them.

From then on her older sister Fay raised her. Fay got a job in South Africa so the two of them moved to Cape Town. San calmed down a bit no longer using her powers on unsuspecting school children. She began to work in a tourist booth handing out maps to help tourists find attractions and things in South Africa. She never learned of her sister’s job. Unfortunately during this stay her sister used her powers accidentally killing several men, and the two were labeled mutant terrorists. She didn’t know the whole story of what had happened to her sister, so she just assumes it was a freak accident.

San and her sister moved to Alaska, San thought it would be hotter. She spends most of her time wondering around Anchorage confusing people by switching languages when ever they try to talk to her. She also likes to shift into a saber tooth tiger and hide in snow banks and pop out get attention then hide again shifting to a house cat just to confuse people.
