Mutant Power: Full
Empath with healing abilities
Extents: Able to send out emotions
while singing although she is able to receive at any time
but only within the radius of about 20 yards.
While connected to a person she can heal them however
this is limited to her medical
knowledge. The more extensive the damage
the more power it takes from her and does drain
her. They also have to be able to hear her so
distance can be a problem.
Personality
Psychological Background: Over all Melody
is very caring person. She talks with anyone and is
friendly however she doesn't open up to everyone.
It takes her a while to trust others.
Personality Quirks:
Claustrophobic and Fear of the dark.
Melody is fine in areas so long as she knows she can get
out. If she cannot she panics. The same is
with darkness. She is fine as long as she can see
something (even if it's just her hand in front of her
nose) but in total darkness she panics and almost becomes
catatonic.
History
General History: Melody grew up in
New York city. Her mother had given up her parental
rights when Melody was ten and she was then sent into
foster homes. She never knew her father for her
mother wasn't sure who her father even was. As her
mutation developed she began to sense the emotions of
others in the house and when she was at school this
became even harder for her for she'd feel so many
emotions as to overwhelm her. She tried running
away numerous times finding that she could escape to
areas without people for some time. Not having any
clue as to why she was feeling what she was she had no
way of explaining to the social workers who would then
send her back to group homes. When she was sixteen
she was still trying to get away when she ran into
problems of four men. The police took the report
but she was then sent back to group home. Dealing
with the emotions she was feeling there and what she'd
felt from the men was too much and she tried to commit
suicide. It was while at the hospital that one
social worker realized she was a mutant and contacted the
Manchester school where she was sent upon release from
the hospital.
There she
learned how to control receiving emotions. How to
block them out when needed and to also control it so she
could receive from one person only. She also
learned about her ability to project emotion and her
healing ability while there. Upon graduation she
went to school to become a nurse so that she could use
her abilities to help others. She then went back to
the Manchester school to help there.
