Hobbies: Stealing and protecting his best friend. Movies that he sneaks into and surviving basically. He still practices his martial arts, which he holds blackbelts in a few, and that's about all he does.


Powers

Mutant Power: Absorption (Natural born), Withering Touch in one hand; healing touch in the other, caused by the absorbtion of Xi'an to the point of never losing it.

Extents (ability): Jared possesses the superhuman ability to absorb the memories, knowledge, talents, personality and physical abilities of another human being, through physical contact with his skin. When that happens, Jared picks up the person's thoughts, minds, powers, depending on the length of contact with Jared. The victim passes out for that period of time and loses their abilities while Jared possesses them. Recently because of prolonged contact with Xi'an of the Theatre of Pain, Jared possesses his powers forever. Think Rogue and her powers.

Personality

Psychological Background: Afraid to touch people and has a tendency to keep his hands in his pockets. Smokes, drinks, does drugs, whatever he wants. After running away, he feels he should be able to do whatever since he no longer has parents around to tell him what to do.


Personality Quirks: Watches Sci-Fi programs all he can. Loves Stargate and Battlestar Galactica. Loves to read mystery and Sci-Fi novels. Stays up late at night and sleeps during the day. Cooks a lot, simply for the fact that Taylor will forget to eat without him, so he cooks to feed him.


History

General History: Jared was the first born child of his parents, both college professors in Alaska. His life was basically good, his parents both made good money and he was well taken care of. They both wanted him and where happy they had a boy.

Jared was happy too and a few years later he was even happier when he got a little sister.

His life at home was good. He did good in school, seeming to have his parents intelligence and was popular as well as did sports of all kinds.

His life was basically storybook perfect, till he turned 13 and he was playing with his sister one day shortly after his birthday. They were outside playing and he was tickling her, when suddenly Jared felt something that wasn't normal.

A few minutes later his sister screamed in pain and Jared seemed to have all her memories. Their parents rushed her to the hospital, but she didn't make it. Shortly after that, they discovered Jared caused it and blamed him.

They realized their son was a mutant and hated him for it and for what he did to his sister. So shortly after that, not even staying for his sister's funeral, he ran away. He hit the streets of Anchorage and meet a young man when they were both kidnapped from the theatre of pain. Jared in order to save them ended up absorbing Xi'an, to the point of of never losing it.

Taylor and Jared left there and since then, have lived together on the streets, Jared caring for Taylor much like a big brother would.
