Shadow
Blend: In his true form, and only in his true
form, Damian is able to blend into the shadows, making
him virtually invisible. Self-reliant and resourceful, he can be quite charming when he wishes to be. And often uses his skills and talents to turn a quick buck. Damian has trouble with trusting other people. And he can be pretty suspicious of overtures of friendship or acts of kindness. He's been burned to many times in the past by taking such things at face value. Usually burned by his own parents. He's developed the cynical belief that anyone being nice to him want something from him. Once someone's been able to befriend him, he is a true and loyal friend in return, though if his hard won trust is betrayed, he cuts off anything to do with that person ruthlessly. He doesn't give second chances. Damian has very little self-confidence or self worth. He's been kicked down to many times by his own parents. After all, if your parents don't love you, and nothing you do pleases them, then surely there's something wrong with you right? And given whom his
father is, it's rather understandable that Damian is
quite scared of Sabretooth. Actually, he's terrified of
his father almost as much as he's terrified of being
trapped. Sabretooth is a hard man who expected blind
obedience of Damian and was quick to punish when he
became enraged. And Sabretooth took great pleasures out
of psychologically abusing Damian the way he had been
abused by his father. Keeps a toy
whistle called a nightingale in his pocket, it was the
first instrument he'd ever owned and he keeps it for
sentimental reasons Usually has at least one of his
instruments with him because you never know when you
might get a chance to do some busking for a little extra
money Keeps his backpack near at hand as it literally
holds all he owns in it. When upset he has a habit of
swearing in more than one language. Since the time he was 8, his parents have been grooming, or rather, beating, Damian into training to join with the Brotherhood. Something Damian has not been looking forward to. Over
the years, Damian's been growing more and more desperate
to get away from his parents and the brotherhood. Though
he's practical enough to know that trying to live on his
own on the streets might be worse than what he's going
through now. Though a few weeks ago, he accidentally
found out what his mother and Magneto are planning.
Figuring the enemies of his parents and the brotherhood
might help him get away, he used what he knew about the
others powers to get away. And has been making his way
across America to see if the other side is any better
than the one he's been with. |
Heightened Senses:
Like his father, Damian has superhumanly acute senses.
Allowing him to track a person or thing by its scent. He
is able to find and follow trails up to 4 hours old. His
vision is much greater than a human's also. He can see
quite clearly up to a mile away, and his night vision is
twice as good as a normal person's. Likewise his hearing
is greater and he is able to hear a person's breathing up
to 150 ft away. With his sense of taste, he is able to
identify 1 part of foreign matter in 100. Even his sense
of touch is as sensitive, letting him identify objects by
touch. Damian's senses are a separate power in and of
themselves, but they are also tied to his shape shifting
abilities, which allows Damian some control over his
senses. Allowing him to dampen them, if he concentrates
hard enough.
Having a ruthless,
homicidal criminal mastermind for a mother and an insane
and homicidal maniac for a father pretty much guarantees
you for dysfunctional family of the decade. Throw in the
fact that your eldest brother is out to murder the entire
family, and you've got that title pretty much tied down
for the century. This is what Damian had to grow up with
as the son of Mystique and Sabretooth with Graydon Creed
as his eldest brother.
