What do you think of your mutant ability: She both likes it, but yet, is embarrassed about it.

Personality

Psychological Background: Astrid is a bit on the insecure side. Her mother died while having her, and it is something that she has always blamed herself for. She is withdrawn, and shy, but feels happy, almost elated when she is in a natural setting. She often escapes to the outdoors when she is depressed.

Personality Quirks: Drinks a lot of water, always makes sure she has her full 8 glasses. Eats like a bird.

History

General History: Astrid was born to Harold and Irene on St. Patty’s day. What would have been a blessed even, turned mournful, as her father was rushed out of the delivery room, as her mother died from complications.

Astrid was strange from the day she was born. To hear her cry was a rarity. She also, as she grew up, was always distant. One of her cousins were the ones that told her how her mother died, which for some reason, didn’t surprise her.

As she grew up, she was a good student, her dad remarried, and she got along with her step mother, and her father well. When she turned 12, it was when little hints of her power started to emerge. It started when she wanted the room to be quiet, and kept wishing for it, until she got it. She went deaf for three days, and the doctors couldn’t explain it.

She started to notice that if she wished hard enough for something, it would happen, though it was always screwed up some how. She could make objects move, as well as people in pictures, to where it looked like a movie.

It was only recently, when she was in school, bored and making a pencil spin on it’s tip that, and got caught, that her father found out. Worried about her, he soon found out about NLA, and thought it was the best place for her.

It was with a tearful goodbye that she was put on a train, and sent to the school
.

Special Notes: She has one picture of her mother, that she keeps with her.
